Victorian Aboriginal Education Association inc.

The Victorian Aboriginal Education Association (VAEAI) was first established in 1976 with the aim of increasing the presence and voice of Koorie people in education decision making.

Today VAEAI represents the Koorie Community in relation to education policy development and strategic programming at the local, state and national levels. They support the provision of education and training that reinforces local community’s cultural identity and increases awareness in the wider community of Koorie culture and aspirations in education and training.

VAEAI advocate for community by representing community views at the local, state, regional and national level for the provision of high quality services in all sectors of education, from early childhood to schools and post-compulsory education and training.

Storylines is thrilled to partner with VAEAI to share and tell unique stories about communities via the Local Aboriginal Consultative Groups, and document stories of success across the education sector in Victoria.
